Gujranwala YouTuber Khan Ali Arrested For Harassing Women on Street

Gujranwala YouTuber Khan Ali, who is known for making prank videos, has been arrested by city police for harassing women on the street and moral policing them for not wearing a dupatta.

The arrest came after a clip from one of his prank videos went viral on social media showing YouTuber Khan Ali offering women money and asking them to get a dupatta and wear it on their head.

“This man has been harassing Pakistani women on roads and public places, for not wearing a head scraf. He has been doing it for months and then he posts their videos on internet without their knowledge or consent. He is doing this to enforce Islam.” said Twitter user Sadaf Alvi.

“His videos of harassing women have been on internet for months but this person is still free to harass more women and post their videos on the internet. Is this not a crime? Who will identify him and arrest him and protect Pakistani women?” she continued.

City Police Officer (CPO) Gujranwala confirmed that YouTuber Khan Ali has been arrested by Gakhar Mandi Police Station under the supervision of SP Abdul Wahab for harassing women in his prank videos.

The Focal Person to Chief Minister of Punjab on Digital Media, Azhar Mashwani shared a copy of the First Information Report (FIR) and a video of the Gujranwala YouTuber apologizing for making the prank video.
