It’s finally the time to hear other side of the story, as Hulu announces the highly anticipated ‘How I Met Your Mother’ sequel series. Comprised of 10 initial episodes, and titled ‘How I Met Your Father,’ the series has roped in the fan-favorite Hilary Duff as central, and therefore already has the audience exhilarated.
The highly prestigious sitcom of the 20th century, ‘How I met your mother’ names as the greatest American comedy of all times, and had garnered massive praises and acclamations throughout its run. The series had consisted of seven megahit seasons and 204 episodes in total, and ran from 2005-2014. And, owing to its humorous plots, unique structure, and incorporation of dramatic elements, the series had won wide accolades including 10 Emmy awards and numerous People’s choice awards.
How I met your mother, as the name suggests revolved around the life story of Ted Mosby, who is narrating it to his children in the year 2030. The tale goes into a flashback and starts in 2005 with the 27-year-old Ted living in New York City and working as an architect, and although it kicks off with the first encounter of the love birds, the series had not introduced the Ted’s wife until the eighth-season finale and only announces her name during the series finale. The show instead focuses on Ted’s prior life and relationships before meeting his children’s mother. Moreover, it had explored countless storylines, and had featured many significant characters, including Ted’s best friends and girlfriends. All in all, ‘How I met your mother’ was a complete bundle of emotions and laughter, and hence deserves all praises.

‘How I Met Your Mother’ Sequel Series
Nevertheless, after almost seven years since the series finale, the show-runners are back to present the female narrative of the 20’s highly celebrated love story. And with that being said, the much waited ‘How I met your mother’ sequel is finally on board.
Titled “How I met your father” the new series hails from This Is Us co-showrunners and Love, Victor co-creators Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who serve as writers and executive producers. Moreover, “How I Met Your Mother” creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are also onboard as executive producers.
Furthermore, “How I met your mother” sequel stars the The Lizzie McGuire Movie’s fame Hilary Duff as female lead and the mother.
The premise states,
“Set in the near future, the show will follow Sophie (Duff) telling her son the story of how she met his father back in the year 2021, when Sophie and her close-knit group of friends were figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.”
Additionally, the series will premiere from streaming web Hulu, however the release date is yet to be disclosed.
