IMDB Announces Top 10 Movies & TV Shows in 2021

IMDB has announced the Top 10 Movies and TV Shows in 2021 based on the pageviews received by their userbase of more than 200 million unique monthly visitors. IMDB says these rankings are not based upon critical assessments, box office performance, or Nielsen ratings, but on the actual pageviews by their combined web and mobile audience.

1. Dune
2. The Suicide Squad
3. Eternals
4. Mortal Kombat
5. Zack Snyder’s Justice League
6. Godzilla vs. Kong
7. Black Widow
8. Army of the Dead
9. Cruella
10. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

“This list comprises the Top 10 movies released in 2021 that were most consistently popular with IMDb users according to the IMDbPro MOVIEmeter. These rankings are not based upon critical assessments or box office performance but on pageviews by our combined web and mobile audience of more than 200 million unique monthly visitors.” stated IMDB on its website.

Denis Villeneuve’s Dune topped the list, while James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad came in at second place, however, DC also managed to take another spot at number five with Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Meanwhile, Marvel’s Eternals, Black Widow, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings also held place at third, seventh, and tenth position, respectively. Furthermore, the Mortal Kombat was able to take fourth position on the list, with Godzilla vs. Kong coming in at number six. Zack Snyder was also able to take another position on list with Army of the Dead at number eight, while Cruella was placed number nine.
