Renowned Pakistani scriptwriter Khalil ur Rehman Qamar was recently kidnapped, beaten, and tortured in Lahore, according to a First Information Report (FIR) lodged with the police.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), a woman named Amna called Qamar and invited him to her house under the pretense of discussing a drama project. When he arrived, armed men abducted him and carried out the robbery.
The first information report (FIR) states that the suspects tortured Qamar and took him to an undisclosed location. Furthermore, Khalil ur Rehman Qamar claimed that the kidnappers threatened to kill him and demanded money from his relatives.
The FIR also mentions that the suspects stole Qamar’s mobile phone, watch, and cash, and transferred over Rs. 250,000 from his ATM card.
According to the FIR, the kidnappers blindfolded Qamar and left him in a deserted area before fleeing.
