The dignified and extremely talented Pakistani film starlet Kubra Khan is all set to reemerge on silver screen as she has taken on her next big project. Titled ‘Abhee’, Kubra’s newest indenture will be a romantic thriller, alongside the renowned singer turned actor Gohar Mumtaz.
Moreover, the approaching feature has already gone on floors, with its initial 15 days spell shot by now in the beautiful valleys of Azad Kashmir. Hence, Abhee is scheduled for an early 2021 release.
The drop dead beautiful Kubra Khan has been far away from television screens for quite a long time now, leaving her fans totally clueless. She was last seen in 2019’s chartbuster spirituality based drama Alif alongside Sajal Aly, Ahsan Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi. Nevertheless, the Jawani Phir Nahi Ani actress did not adjourn her acting career and was occupied with upcoming big screen venture titled London Nahi Jaonga, scheduled to premiere on Eid Ul Adha 2020.

As Kubra Khan anticipates the release of her due screenplay, she has laid hands on another Lollywood flick namely ‘Abhee’, accompanied by the critically acclaimed singer and rock band ‘Jal’ founder Gohar Mumtaz.
About Abhee
Starring the mesmerizing Kubra Khan and the very talented Gohar Mumtaz as central cast, the currently on shoot film Abhee has been penned down by Gohar himself and serves as the directorial debut of Asad Malik.
Where Pakistani film industry is more focused on rom-com movies, tupcoming script will follow a romantic thriller, the lesser explored genre. Also, Abhee promises some captivating sceneries to the viewers, as it travel around some enchanting and delightful localities of Pakistan, commencing the shoot at the breathtaking valleys of Azad Kashmir.
It is pertinent to mention that Gohar Mumtaz not only serves as the male lead and writer of this striking play, but also as the fundamental composer, adding a cherry on top for the audience. Furthermore, Kubra Khan has also contributed to the musical flank of Abhee, as she offers her vocals to one of Gohar’s compositions.
Besides Kubra, other singers include the legendary Rahet Fateh Ali Khan and the much-admired diva Aima Baig, assuring some musical hits to the film Abhee.

The immensely popular British Pakistani actress Kubra Khan earned abrupt recognition soon after her debut in 2014’s megahit film Na Maloom Afraad, where she adopted the epitome of Mohsin Abbas’ love interest. Since then, the skilled starlet has given back to back performances, both on small as well as big screens. Some of Kubra’s applauded television serials include Alif, Alif Allah aur Insaan, Sang-e-Mar Mar, Khuda aur Muhabbat and Muqabil to name a few. Kubra’s startling acting in Muqabil and Sang-e-Mar Mar also bagged her ‘the Best Newcomer’ and ‘Best New sensation awards’ respectively. The artistic actor and the highly commended guitarist, singer and songwriter Gohar Mumtaz stepped into entertainment industry with a rock band named ‘Jal’ that was founded by Atif Aslam and Gohar after their collaborated song Adat stole the limelight. Since then, Gohar has contributed whole heartedly towards the country’s musical line. Tu Qadam Barhye Ja, Ooncha and Ye Mera Pakistan are some of Gohar’s much treasured patriotic songs.
Besides being a topnotch singer, Gohar is also a successful actor. Mere Humdam, Baaghi, Faisla, Uff Yeh muhabbat and Tanhai are among Gohar’s eminent television serials.
