Tina Turner, the legendary Rock ‘n’ Roll singer who became a pop behemoth with hits like The Best and What’s Love Got to Do With It, has died at the age of 83.
According to the details, Tina Turner suffered a number of health issues in recent years, including cancer, a stroke and kidney failure.
“Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.” a representative told media. “With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.”
Dubbed the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner was famous for her raunchy and energetic stage performances and powerful vocals. Furthermore, she won eight Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 as a solo artist, having first been inducted alongside Ike, her husband, in 1991.
Soon after the news of her death went viral on social media, her fans and others from the entertainment industry have taken to Twitter to express their grief over the singer’s passing.
