Critically renowned Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan, who had been on a pause from acting universe for more than five years now, is finally set for a comeback to show business. The actress will star as a lead in Netflix’s original holiday themed flick, the title of which is yet to be revealed.
The enthralling and glamorous Lindsay Lohan had gained wide recognition as a child artist with Walt Disney Pictures film “The parent trap.” The Film’ success had led her to bigger screen projects, like Freaky Friday and Confessions of a drama queen. And, so an artist was born.
Since then, Lindsay Lohan has been featured in a dozen of megahit television and big screen titles. Some of hee actinf credits include Labor Pains, I know who killed me, Mean girls, Inappropriate comedy, Just my luck and Liz and Dick amomg others.
Although Lindsay is a versatile actress and owns an extended fan following, the starlet had given up on acting back in 2016, on account of some personal reasons. Lohan’s most recent film was the horror-thriller Among the Shadows, which was released in 2019 but actually wrapped production years earlier in 2016. Prior to that, her last feature was 2013’s The Canyons.
Moreover, in an interview back in 2019, Lindsay Lohan had stated that she hoped to soon “start filming again” and planned on “taking back the life that I worked so hard for,” though she later told David Spade she had a particular film in mind that she hoped to return with, which was a sequel to immensely popular Mean Girls.
“I should probably get back to doing movies at some point,” Lohan told InStyle in 2020. “I think I was hanging on to Mean Girls for a really long time. I wanted to come back with a Mean Girls 2. To work with Tina Fey, and the whole crew again, and Mark Waters. That was really what I wanted. I was excited to do that. But that’s all in their hands, really.”

Lindsay Lohan to star in Netflix Original Film
After years of keeping distance from her dream job, the mesmerizing and very talented Lindsay Lohan has finally decided to return to television screens. And, for the purpose, the actress has signed up a Netflix original christmas themed romantic comedy.
The yet to be titled movie is being directed by Janeen Damien of Christmas Waltz fame, whereas Damian, Michael Damian, Jeff Bonnett and Ron Oliver has penned down the script. Its producers are MPCA’s Brad Krevoy and Riviera Films’ Michael Damian.
Furthermore, as revealed by Netflix, Lindsay Lohan will play the titular role of a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who gets amnesia after a skiing accident and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
The other cast members have not been mentioned yet. The movie will commencing filming in the month of November. Hence, it is expected as the platform’s 2022 christmas movies lineup.
