Formerly selected Faryal Mahmood for Abu Aleeha’s digital film Lockdown is now replaced with famous actress Sonya Hussyn.
Previously, Gohar Rasheed and Faryal Mahmod paired up to appear in online film Lockdown, however through mutual agreement Faryal Mahmood has left the project and in her place Sonya Hussyn will be starring opposite Gohar Rasheed.
The reason for Faryal mahmood to leave the project was no conflict or disagreement. The actress couldn’t cope up with tough schedule and extreme routine, hence she stepped out.
Abu Aleeha, when asked the reason for change in Lockdown cast, stated:
“We had locked Faryal for the role and even had her sign the contract, but [as time went by and this script kept developing] at the eleventh hour, this character became so difficult that there was a need for workshops and due to her personal issues like marriage and health, she couldn’t give us time required for this role.”

He added:
“We have commitments ahead to OTT platforms that require us to have these shoots done in specific time and way, so we couldn’t postpone.”
Moreover, Faryal herself supported Abu Aleeha’s statement and shared her reason to back off from film Lockdown saying:
“I backed out because I was under the weather… The shoot is really intense and dates were not flexible.”
