The highly adored on-screen couple of Pakistan, Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan is ready to captivate the audience with their upcoming drama Neelofar. The duo has wrapped up shooting for their new silver screen project which is approaching shortly.

Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan paired for the first time in 2011, when they smashed the ratings with their idealistic Khirad and Ashar chemistry. The drama, owing to the two Khans was a mega chartbuster and lies among the topnotch Pakistani dramas ever made. Hence, Mahira and Fawad garnered massive accolades globally and Humsafar provided a ladder to their mounting showbiz career.

Since 2011, Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan have appeared in abundant television serials as well as movies. The two even went across the borders, and proved their acting spirit on Bollywood platform for which they were massively applauded. Mahira appeared as lead in renowned flick Raees alongside Shahrukh Khan, whereas Fawad worked with Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor individually.

Even though the spectators celebrate the personalities separately, there was always a yearning for Mahira and Fawad’s on-screen coupling. Thus, the wait is finally over, as the two superstars of Pakistan will finally be sharing the silver screen in near future.

Titled Neelofar, the forthcoming movie has been directed and written by Ammar Rasool, whereas Qasim Mehmood serves as the producer. The screenplay was expected to release in 2020, however was abruptly postponed owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, the filming for the most anticipated presentation is finally concluded.

The news was put forward by Mahira Khan herself. Taking it to her Instagram handle, Mahira shared a heartfelt caption, flattering her title role in Neelofar.

“I take with me a piece of you, leaving a bit of my soul with you. My darling Neelofar, I shall miss you, oh so much.”

Furthermore, Mahira continued, appreciating the whole squad.

“Here is a shout out to all those who worked on this film. Each and every one of them put their heart and soul in it. Can’t wait for all of you to see our hard work and love on your screens soon, Ameen.”

It is pertinent to mention that Neeloar would be third project of Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan together. After Hamsafar, the duo had reunited in 2014 for Pakistan’s most expensive film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt.” Nevertheless, the flick was never premiered and is expected to hit the screens next year. Thus, the two Khans will be seen together after 10 whole years in the upcoming saga.
