After the dazzling performance in ARY digital’s Jalan, the ravishing Minal Khan is back in another exceptional avatar, ‘Pyaas’. Pairing up with the renowned actor Yasir Hussain, the duo is standing by to raise water scarcity awareness through their forthcoming project.
Minal Khan, through her invincible game of expressions, has successfully acquired a topnotch rank among the finest actresses of Pakistan. The starlet stepped into the world of showbiz in 2011 as a child artist, and has been unrelenting since then, giving back to back chartbuster performances. It is therefore the reason, the young beauty houses 6.5 million followers on her Instagram handle, who are always looking forward to Minal’s forthcoming projects.
Furthermore, currently Minal Khan is strong minded on embracing challenging epitomes that she has never depicted before. And, recently concluded Jalan justifies it. Hence, after astounding the world as a ruthless antagonist, Minal is all set to portray an unfortunate village girl, struggling to survive in water dearth, in her approaching short film Pyaas, alongside the massive popular Yasir Hussain.
About Pyaas
Water is the basic necessity of life, something that existence on this planet is impossible without. However, what happens when requirement turns into privilege? Minal Khan and Yasir hussain’s upcoming telefilm will highlight just that.
Titled Pyaas, the forthcoming saga is a film by Wajahat Hussain of Do Bol and Yaariyaan’s fame. The director is known for raising societal issues through his work and Pyaas defends it justly.
Likewise, as the name suggests, the screenplay will delve into the life without water, and has been dedicated to the struggling population of rural areas and villages of Pakistan, Kohala Paien, Haripur village to be precise. The film is a little approach to raise alertness about the importance of aqua, and how the rural population is facing its miserable shortage for a long time now.

Minal Khan has gracefully adopted the avatar of Shameem, a floundering woman in Haripur, leading a nerve-racking life in this draught condition. Talking about her character in Pyaas, the Nand actress revealed,
“Shameem is a window for me to look in to the life of underprivileged women of Kohala Paien, Haripur who walk through many miles to fetch water for their daily use.”
“Portraying a girl who goes through all this was really a life time experience for me. “WATER” we consume daily & doesn’t realise that how precious it is for someone living nearby.”
Minal concluded, giving credits to the show-runner Wajah Hussain.
“Good luck wajahat bhai & thank u for giving me a challenging character. I am available in all my capacity for any such opportunity next time too.”

Cast
Besides the enthralling Minal Khan and the bubbly Yasir Hussain, Pyaas also stare Adnan Shah Tipu and Madiha Rizvi in supporting roles.
Additionally, the societal subject Pyaas has been penned down by Imran Nazir, whereas Fadia Hussain serves as the producer. No further details and release date have yet been disclosed. However, the telefilm is already on stage and is expected in near future.
