One of Pakistan’s prominent clerics, Mufti Qavi says his team is preparing to take legal action against Hareem Shah for the recent video call leak that created a lot of controversy on social media.
Mufti Qavi has been part of a lot of controversies over the years and the most recent one has been the leaked video call with Hareem Shah where the cleric was seen flirting with the TikTok star.

In a recent interview with Urdu Point, the cleric was shared his side of the story and defended himself by offering explanation or what is basically his version of the story.
In the interview, Mufti Abdul Qavi explains that he tries giving every women time if they contact him to discuss their personal issues and this was a similar situation.
A woman had apparently travelled to Lahore from Karachi and contacted the cleric to discuss some personal issues but due to his busy schedule he was unable to make it to Lahore.
According to Mufti Qavi, he received a call from the same number as the woman when he was about to leave for Bahawalpur and was explaining to her about his busy schedule when he was surprised to hear the woman say, “I did not call you to listen to your nonsense speeches”.
Furthermore, the stated that he asked the woman to see her face after he realized it wasn’t the same kind person who contacted him before but the interviewer did point out that asking a na-mehram to show her face was inappropriate.
After asking questions about the video call leak with Hareem Shah, the interviewer asked Mufti Qavi about previous controversies to which he responded that it is an attempt to malign his reputation.
Towards the end, Mufti Qavi says that his team in Islamabad is preparing to take legal action against the TikTok star Hareem Shah for the video call leak and the statements she made against him.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier there was another controversial video showing Qavi dancing with a Korean lady but the cleric later said that the clip was edited and fake.
