Netflix drops trailer for Enola Holmes set to release next month

Netflix just dropped the trailer for their highly anticipated spy movie titled after the main character Enola Holmes who is the sister of the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes.

The exploratory Netflix original stars the winsome and prepossessing actress from Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes Henry Cavill who is best known for playing The Witcher and Man of Steel in the DECU.

The film is scheduled to be released on September 23rd on the online streaming service Netflix.

Based on the books by Nancy Springer, upcoming Netflix film Enola Holmes depicts the adventure of mystery-solving, fledgling sister of The Great sleuth Sherlock Holmes, bringing you loads of laughter and amusement on the way.

Hence, Sherlock Holmes fans tighten your seat belts, as sister Holmes is ready to engage you in another twisted venture of this detective family, however this time with a young, female spin, guarded with the veteran gumshoe brothers.

Enola Holmes Timeline

As the full length trailer of Netflix reveals, Enola Holmes, a 16 years old she-spy teenager, is willing to go lengths in search of her mother, who has suddenly disappeared. However, she is stuck with her infamous sleuth brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft who are determined on sending her off to finishing school, rather than some crazy endeavors.

Nevertheless, the young rebel defies her brothers and sets-forth an enigmatic journey to London, strong-minded on finding mummy dearest. She also crosses path with a cute teenager and learns hand-to-hand combat.

The film is set in 1884 and features impressive period costumes that bring light to this old-times tale.

Enola Holmes Cast

The upcoming adventurous film includes all star-studded cast. Character of the smart and courageous Enola Holmes is portrayed by Millie Bobby Brown, best known for her role in hit sci-fi series Stranger Things.

Talking about her forthcoming film, Millie commented, “I think Enola Holmes taught me that being with yourself, being your own biggest critic, being your own biggest support team is so important, too. I rely on myself to give myself self-love because that’s just literally the only way I can.”

Additionally, the preeminent and much celebrated character of Sherlock Holmes is depicted by Henry Cavill, known for his appearances in Mission Impossible, Fallout and The Witcher. However, the film revolves around his younger sibling this time making the character of Sherlock a supporting one.

Sam Claffin plays the eldest sibling Mycroft Holmes. Claffin has previously performed in The Hunger Games series and Me Before You.
