Neon has recently dropped the first trailer for the upcoming feature ‘Pig’ starring the past master Nicolas Cage as a truffle hunter, whose beloved truffle pig has gone missing. Hence, the Academy Award winner is now on an unbendable rescue mission, and will go lengths to fine his wine buddy.
The charismatic old stager of Hollywood Nicolas Cage owns a history of giving one after other chartbuster projects and has a huge lineup of acting accolades to his name. Yet, the actor is not done yet, and has apparently signed up for a jam-packed 2021.
This year by now, Nicolas Cage has starred in ‘Prisoners of the Ghostland’ at Sundance, followed with a Netflix series History of Swear Words and a janitor performance in Willy’s Wonderland. Also, Cage recently showcased in last year’s Jiu Jitsu and reprised his role as Grug Crood in The Croods: A New Age.
Moreover, not stopping here, the ‘Leaving Las Vegas’ star has a few more titles for the year ahead. Scheduled for release in near future is Nicolas Cage’s The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, in which Cage plays himself. Other than that, he is also working on a Joe Exotic series, where he portrays the Tiger King.
And, to exceed the list of Nicolas Cage’s 2021 credits, another of his action-packed thriller titled ‘Pig’ is just around the corner, coming out next month. However, the trailer for it has already surfaced and portrays Nicolas in an entirely brandish avatar.

Nicolas Cage’s ‘Pig’ timeline
As the name suggests, Nicolas Cage’s impending thriller “pig” is centered on an anonymous truffle pig, gone absent from the woods. However, little do the abductors knowledge, the little swine is all its dangerous owner has. Hence, the truffle hunter Rob, plated by Nicolas Cage, enlists the help of a truffle salesman played Alex Wolff. And together, the two sets forth a rescue operation, revisiting the buried past, as they search for the little friend.
The official synopsis for Pig reads, “A truffle hunter who lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped.”
“Pig” has been directed by Michael Sarnoski, who previously worked on various TV series such as “Olympia” and “Fight Night Legacy.” Vanessa Block co-wrote the film with Sarnoski. Meanwhile, Robert Bartner, Marisa Clifford, Danny Cohen, Michael Diamond, Bobby Hoppey, Tim O’Shea and Yara Shoemaker served as executive producers.
Furthermore, besides Nicolas Cage and Alex Wolff, the film also stars Adam Arkin, Nina Belforte, Dalene Young, Gretchen Corbett, Julia Bray, Darius Pierce and Elijah Ungvary in pivotal roles.
Talking about his experience with Nicolas, Alex Wolff shared, “We talk almost every few days. We text all day and he FaceTimed me like two days ago, and we really support each other and help each other with things. We started making the movie when we were both going through very similar personal things in our life and we bonded over it immediately and connected and were very emotionally open with each other. We just became best friends.”
