PSL 7 Anthem ‘Agay Dekh’ Officially Released

The seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2022) is scheduled to start on January 27 and the official PSL 7 Anthem has been released. The PSL 2022 Anthem is sung by Atif Aslam and Aima Baig with Abdullah Siddiqui as the producer of the most-awaited song of the year.

The PSL 7 Anthem was sponsored by TikTok and released on the short video-sharing platform first before making its way to other social media accounts of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The music video for the PSL 2022 Anthem has been directed by Zeeshan Parwez with producer Shahrukh Kazim.

“Pakistani cricket has given us many moments to cherish, and this year’s HBL PSL anthem carries forward the nationwide spirit and culture surrounding it. ‘Agay dekh’ urges audiences to look beyond binaries of victory and defeat, and enjoy the game in its purest essence. Those who become a part of this beautiful game are dedicated to it with every fibre of their souls; be it the players, or you, the fans.” said Pakistan Cricket Board in the description of the PSL 7 Anthem on YouTube.

“Last year, the HBL PSL was deprived of its home crowd due to COVID-19 restrictions, but this year we will have fans in the stands. Pakistan’s biggest sporting event is a festival and a celebration, and the anthem pays tribute to everyone who waits excitedly for this time of year. With “Agay Dekh” we have strived to showcase how much we love cricket, as well as capture the attitude, the fierceness and the banter that houses that love.” added PCB.

“Pakistan’s biggest musical stars Atif Aslam, Aima Baig and Abdullah Siddiqui worked on this platform to create something extraordinary. With the excitement of the upcoming HBL PSL in the air, we present to you the official anthem of this season – an anthem our fans will cheer with, no matter where they are in the world.” the statement concluded.

The PSL 7 Anthem is the first time Atif Aslam has been a part of the Pakistan Super League in anyway, however, Aima Baig was featured in last year’s anthem for the PSL 6, titled ‘Groove Mera’.

The PSL 2022 tournament is scheduled to begin on 27 January 2022 in Karachi at the National Stadium and move to Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium in the later stages of the annual game.
