In the small village of Pindsultani in Punjab’s Attock district, a young man named Atiq ur Rehman has made his childhood dream come true. Atiq, who works as a software engineer in Islamabad, has always been fascinated by railway stations. As a child, he often visited the Domel Railway Station, about 7 kilometers away, dreaming of trains and the busy life at the station.
A Village Railway Station Dream Come True
Since Pindsultani had no railway station, he decided to build his own model railway station on his ancestral land. He spent between Rs3 million to Rs3.5 million on this amazing project.

How It All Started
In 2018, Atiq planned to plant an orange orchard and build a small room on his land. While discussing it with his father, he had an idea: “Why not design it like a railway station?” That was the moment his dream began to take shape. He worked hard to build a perfect replica of the Domel Railway Station from the British era.

A Railway Station in the Village
Atiq’s station has everything a real railway station has—a platform, station master’s room, bell, lamp storage area, ticket counter, waiting area, and even washrooms. It looks just like an old railway station, taking visitors back in time. Though no real trains stop here, the station gives the same feeling as a real one. The tracks are made of gravel brought from Kohat, and there are signboards showing distances and fares, just like in a real railway station.

A Place of Peace and History
Atiq wanted a peaceful place away from the noise of the city where he could relax with friends or sit alone and enjoy nature. Every two weeks, he visits Pindsultani from Islamabad to spend time at his railway station. He loves to read books, enjoy the quiet, and admire his creation.
Inside the station master’s room, there are railway-themed paintings, models of trains, an antique clock, and books. The whole place feels like a railway museum, bringing history to life.
A Bigger Dream: A Railway Museum
Atiq is now working on a cement railway bogie (train carriage), which he plans to turn into a mini-museum. It will have seats, fans, lights, and even a washroom, just like a real train carriage.
He also wants to collect old railway items such as phones, bells, carts, and tickets. If Pakistan Railways provides him with vintage railway equipment, he can make his museum even more special.
A Passion Turned into Reality
Although this is not an official railway station, it looks and feels just like one. Atiq ur Rehman’s dedication shows his love for his village and his passion for railways.
His dream of bringing a railway station to Pindsultani has become a beautiful reality, making his village a special place for railway lovers and history enthusiasts.
