‘Shalwar’ Trends on Twitter as TikToker Alina Khan Video Goes Viral

Pakistani Twitter started trending with #Shalwar as video of TikToker Alina Khan went viral on social media. In the viral video, TikToker Alina Khan was seen wearing a Kameez without the Shalwar.

However, the viral video wasn’t the only thing that was uploaded by TikToker Alina Khan as she continued to explain her logic behind the action on her post. “Shalwar is a formality and dupatta is useless. Both make you feel ugly.” said the TikToker. “Are you sure you’re from a desi household if you never felt like running away and buying your own apartment only because you need privacy and you want to walk around naked?” continued the TikToker.

The TikToker also tweeted, “It’s 2021 and y’all are still wearing a shalwar, LMAO.” Meanwhile, the netizens did not subject the TikToker to the usual criticism but ended up making several memes and jokes over the matter.

However, the TikToker ended up deleting this tweet soon after she went viral with the video.
