The PSL 6 anthem titled ‘Groove Mera’ has gone viral on social media and amassed millions on views on YouTube since its release, however, the new song has failed appease cricket fans as it did not live up to their expectations and retired Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar also stands by the public in this regard.
The PSL 6 anthem titled ‘Groove Mera’ has been sung by the legendary Naseebo Lal along with super talented Pakistani singer Aima Baig and rappers Talha Anjum and Talha Younus of the Young Stunners, a hip-hop and rap duo based out of Karachi.
Furthermore, the music video for the PSL 2021 anthem, directed by Fida Moin, has been released as well and features some of the top cricketers including, Shadab Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Wahab Riaz.

Shoaib Akhtar Criticizes PSL 6 Anthem
Shoaib Akhtar talked about the PSL 6 anthem and expressed his distaste for the lyrics and the whole style in was portrayed in the music video. He said that the music industry despite being full of talented individuals failed to deliver on this much-awaited song.
“Our music industry is so rich. Do you guys not feel ashamed making such a song? Make a better song next time and if you can’t do it, let me know and I’ll make it for you.” said the former cricketer in his YouTube video.
“What even is this Groove Mera?” asked Shoaib Akhtar while trolling the PSL 6 anthem and schooling PCB on the actual meaning of the word. He went to say that the song scared his kids, who won’t talk to him anymore.
