Pakistani actress Sonya Hussyn has taken to social media and shared details about her upcoming project with fans. Sonya Hussyn will be playing the role of a female police officer in her upcoming project. However, the starlet has not given much details about the project.
Sonya Hussyn shared these details on her Instagram. “Female police officers are unbelievably underrated for their strength and they deserve more representation,” wrote actress while sharing a picture of her character from the project. “It gives me great honor to be announcing my next disposition, SP Sara Sikandar.”
However, the actress did not make it clear whether the upcoming project is drama serial of a film. According to Sonya Hussyn, the project is written by Umera Ahmed and direct by Adnan Sarwar.
The actress spoke to Dawn Images regarding the upcoming project. “The plot revolves around a serial killer and this [particular] case that Sara investigates,” Hussyn revealed, adding that the drama has a lot of “humane elements” and depicts PTSD and the “lifestyle” of police officers.” she told the media outlet.
“Talking about her character, the Saraab actor expressed excitement at having played the superintendent and said her character has an “empowering disposition”. “Sara enters the system at a time when it is very corrupt and she completely turns it around. She was a very interesting character to play. I remember watching documentaries and spending hours researching policewomen.” said the actress.
She also shared details about her character. “[Sara is a] very harsh [and] stern woman and [she] has reason to be because of what she does [for a living]. In real life, I’m the polar opposite. When I first read the script, I saw how every single dialogue and expression demanded that I push myself and there’s nothing more I can possibly ask for as an actor [than that].” said Sonya Hussyn.
