Lucas films has at least 15 forthcoming Star Wars movies, slated for 2021 and beyond, all being created exclusively for Disney plus. The lineup includes titles that will start off from where they left, like the fantastic bounty hunter Boba Fett in his own series, to entirely fresh anime genera entering the star-wars universe with ‘Visions.’ On the whole, a new and even larger wave of “Star Wars” content is all set to roll out onto the streaming giant as well as into the theaters.
Disney Plus recently dropped the highly anticipated ‘The Bad Batch,’ continuing the journey of five titular soldiers, who had first appeared in the final season of ‘Clone Wars.’ Though, this time, the clones have their own story and journey ahead, who are trying to find their place in a newly formed empire. The series already has all praises.
However, the unexpected iconic ‘Bad Batch’ series is just a flash of the bigger bombshells the studio has in the pipeline.
Star Wars movies emerging in 2021
Nearly 15 other star movies are coming to Disney plus in 2021 and afterwards. Following are the officially announced titles.
1. The Book of Boba Fett
The Book of Boba Fett is a spinoff series from the critically acclaimed live-action series “The Mandalorian.” Scheduled among Star Wars movies of December 2021, the impending venture will center on the journey of bounty hunter Boba Fett from the previous series and other Star Wars media.
Last time we saw him, Boba Fett had stormed Jabba’s former palace on Tatooine with Fennec Shand, and executed Bib Fortuna. Reclaiming a seat on Jabba’s throne, the series will likely follow the events of Boba taking over and operating Jabba’s criminal empire.
Premise: The journey of legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett continues following his reintroduction in The Mandalorian.
Moreover, Temuera Morrison will portray Boba Fett, a bounty hunter and son of Jango Fett, whereas, Ming-Na Wen adopts Fennec Shand, an elite mercenary and assassin in Fett’s service.
2. Star Wars – Visions
Star Wars movies are all set to introduce anime genre in 2021, as it announces a short animated 10-part series called “Star Wars: Visions” coming to Disney plus in near future. Although, no further details are yet revealed about the anime debut, the series is said to offer a fresh and diverse cultural perspective on a far, far fictional universe.
Star Wars Visions is being created by Japanese anime studios.
3. Andor
Pronounced as the ‘nail-biting thriller’ of Star Wars movies, the upcoming Andor is a prequel series to Star Wars film Rogue One. It follows the character Cassian Andor five years before the events of the film.
Andor is scheduled to be released in 2022, and will consist of 12 episodes.
4. Obi Wan Kenobi
The legendary Jedi master, Obi Wan is all set for a comeback in the future, with star wars Obi wan Kenobi. The prequel series will take place 10 years after the events of 2005’s Revenge of the Sith, where we last saw Obi-Wan watching over Luke Skywalker, the secret child of Darth Vader, on Tatooine. As said by Kathleen Kennedy, Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader, who will battle his old master in “the rematch of the century.”
Furthermore, Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christiensen are set to reprise their roles as Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker in the star wars impending Obi Wan movies. Besdies, Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will return as Beru Whitesun Lars and Owen Lars.
5. The Mandalorian season 3
Although the freshly announced the ‘book of Boba Fett’ will kick in from the conclusion of second season of ‘The Mandalorian’ the thrilling adventures of Din Djarin is far from over.
After overpowering Moff Gideon in battle, Mando retrieved the Darksaber, which threw a wrench into Bo-Katan’s plan to restore her rule of Mandalore. Now, will Mando duel Bo-Katan, or will he join her mission to regain Mandalore? All the questions will be answered in the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’ lined up as Star Wars Movies 2021 and beyond at Disney Plus.

6. Rogue Squadron
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron is an upcoming Star Wars movies planned to be released on Christmas 2023. It will be directed by Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins.
7. Ahsoka
After winning the audience as central in the animated ‘Clone Wars’ series, the fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano is finally getting her own live action series. Dave Filoni, who created the character will executive produce alongside “The Mandalorian” showrunner Jon Favreau. The series will be released in 2022.
8. Rangers of the new Republic
Set within the timeline of ‘The Mandalorian,’ the Rangers of the new Republic will follow a group of ‘New Republic’ combatants traveling the galaxy. And, when the plot details are still under wraps, the series will culminate in a crossover event with The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Star Wars: Ahsoka.
9. The Acolyte
Happening about a century before “The Phantom Menace,” the mystery thriller Acolyte series is another of the Star Wars movies coming out in near future. The series will revolve around a female character who will uncover shadowy secrets in a time where Dark Side powers are brewing.
10. Lando
The devil turned Angel character of Star Wars movies, Lando Calrissian is also getting his own live action series at the Disney plus in near future. The plot details are still unknown, as the film is in its initial phases. However, as the name suggests, it will be all about the fan-favorite Lando and his explorations.

Once a smooth-talking smuggler, Lando Calrissian changed from a get-rich-quick planner to a selfless leader in the fight against the Empire. From adventures with the Ghost crew of rebels to the attack on Death Star II, his quick wit and daring proved to be invaluable.
11. A Droid Story
Another of the majorly celebrated star wars movies characters, R2 D2 and C-3PO are also returning to Disney plus with their mad adventures together. “A Droid Story” will introduce a new hero to be guided by the iconic droid duo on a “mission known only to them.”
Furthermore, in addition to the aforementioned Star Wars 2021 and beyond movies and series, some other titles are also on the cards of Disney Plus, emerging in the years ahead.
These include untitled Taika Waititi Movie, Untitled Rian Johnson Movie Trilogy, Untitled Kevin Feige Movie, and Untitled J.D. Dillard Project. No further details are yet known about any of the titles, except the movies are under production.
