The most anticipated movie of Pakistan, The legend of Maula Jatt, after being behind the curtains for almost 5 years, is finally coming to the silver screens. The thriller is known to be the most expensive film ever made in the country and therefore has the audience on the edge of their seats since forever.
Spine-chilling thriller, The legend of Maula Jatt is an exclusive masterpiece, brought to life by Bilal Lishari. The veteran director came into spotlight after the release of ‘Waar’, entitled to be the highest grossing blockbuster movie of Pakistan.

As said by him, “This will be my take on Gandasa films which are blamed for the death of Lollywood. I think the Gandasa genre was a missed opportunity for Pakistani cinema, and what better choice to utilize it then by paying homage to the cult classic Maula Jatt.” And, subsequent to that, the rendition of the 90’s classical Maula Jatt had commenced.
Moreover, after going through tons of cast and venue changes, the filming of the Maula Jatt remake was reportedly over by 2018. The movie was expected to premiere soon; however, some objections were aimed at it and since then it had been engaged in a legal combat. Nevertheless, after being halted for multiple years, The Legend of Maula Jatt was pronounced to be hitting theatres in 2020. But, the pandemic once again delayed the saga, tempting the sentiments of the citizens.
