The Umbrella Academy Storyline:
The Umbrella Academy is a fantasy thriller adopted from a comic book of same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. The story unfolds some mind-twisting events, entangling the viewers in its paranormal aroma.
On the same day in October 1989, forty-three children are strangely born to random women, who showed no signs of pregnancy a day earlier. 7 out of 43 are adopted by businessman Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who have exceptional future plans for the youngsters in his mind.
Hargreeves forms The Umbrella Academy, preparing his children to save the world. But unlikely to his plans, the family bond fractures and the team members part their ways. Few years later, 6 surviving members are reunited on the news of their father’s demise. The unique siblings work together, solving the mysteries related to the death of Hargreeves.
However, with their contrary personalities, the estranged teenagers have a difficult time getting along and the family once again starts to falls apart.

Season 2 cast:
All of the Hargreeves kids are coming back for season 2. Those are:
- Vanya played by Ellen Page,
- Luther played by Tom Hopper,
- Allison by Emmy Raver-Lampman,
- Klaus by Robert Sheehan,
- Diego by David Castañeda,
- Number Five by Aidan Gallagher,
- Ben by Ethan Hwang.
Moreover, the cast seemed excited about their upcoming roles. Ellen page revealed a bit about her character as Vanya saying:
“For me, it’s going be so interesting to explore Vanya. It’s like Vanya 2.0 – less repressed and what does that mean in the good ways and bad kinda thing”
Similarly, Robert Sheehan who portrays Klaus hinted the future of his avatar. He stated:
“He’s constantly emerging into this new self. He’s a butterfly that refuses to leave the cocoon, or he keeps going back into it. I’d love to see Klaus re-formed as something else, different completely. Hopefully, if the murmurings are to be believed, that’s kind of where we’re headed. I think he’s in a constant state of change and that would bring much excitement for me.”
Additionallly, David also had something to say about Diego. He commented:
“One of the best things about the show is how the characters arc, and it takes time to see people grow out of the traumas that they have”
He added:
“I’d like to see where Diego goes. He’s able to cope with a lot more things, but now he lost his mom, he lost Patch. He could either go completely insane off of it or he might just be a kid.”
