The Top Gun star, Tom Cruise is said to film his next Hollywood blockbuster in space according to US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Director of NASA Jim Bridenstine confirmed the news of Tom Cruise shooting aboard the International Space Station (ISS) in a tweet he made where he said:
NASA is excited to work with TomCruise on a film aboard the Space Station! We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make NASA’s ambitious plans a reality.

This will make Tom Cruise the first Hollywood A-list actor to shoot a movie in actual space. The actor is known for doing his own stunts.
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is also reportedly involved in the project. Although there is no official confirmation about this, Elon Musk did respond to Bridenstine’s tweet saying:
Should be a lot of fun!
There is however not much news regarding the movie or what it’s called. However, it is confirmed by Deadline Hollywood that the movie will not be a part of the hit franchise Mission Impossible.
