1. Khuda Aur Mohabbat Season 3
Khuda Aur Mohabbat Season 3 is one of the few drama serials to carry more than one season and it has been one of the most anticipated dramatizations in the Pakistani entertainment industry. The show was written by Hashim Nadeem Khan and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain Khan. This is a story about Farhad (Feroze Khan), a middle-class boy with huge goals, falling in love with Mahi (Iqra Aziz), who comes from a wealthy family and ends up marrying someone else.
2. Raqeeb Se
Raqeeb Se had some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry working on the project and it has been one of the most popular Pakistani drama of 2021. The drama serial was produced by Momina Duraid under the banner of MD Productions. It was written by Bee Gul and directed Kashif Nisar.
The drama serial also had one of the biggest cast in the entertainment industry, including Hadiqa Kiani, Noman Ejaz, Sania Saeed, Iqra Aziz, and Faryal Mehmood in lead roles. The drama aired from 20 January 2021 to 26 May 2021. The story involves lives of four women and their struggles, especially Sakina (Hadiqa Kiani), who was in a abusive relationship with her husband.
3. Pehli Si Mohabbat
The drama serial is written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Anjum Shahzad. It was one of the biggest drama serials of 2021 despite having a cliché story line revolving around two lovers, Rakshi (Maya Ali) and Aslam (Shehreyar Munawar), who fall in love to the point that they no longer want to live without each other.
4. Raqs-e-Bismil
Raqs-e-Bismil was one of the most watched dramas of 2021 not just in Pakistan but abroad as well. The 11th episode of the drama serial was the highest rated on Hum TV in the UK for the week it was broadcast and it was watched by over 113,000 viewers.
The drama premiered on Hum TV from 25 December 2020 to 9 July 2021. It was directed by the acclaimed film director Wajahat Rauf and produced by Shazia Wajahat and Momina Duraid. The cast of Raqs-e-Bismil featured prominent names like Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan in lead roles.
5. Parizaad
Parizaad is probably the biggest drama serial of 2021 (airing at the time of this publishing this post) with a huge cast, including Ahmed Ali Akbar and Yumna Ziadi in the lead roles alongside Ushna Shah, Urwa Hocane, Saboor Aly, and Mashal Khan. The drama serial is based on the novel of the same name by Hashim Nadeem.
The story revolves around a dark-skinned college student, Parizaad (Ahmed Ali Akbar). Parizaad is someone who has grown up with self esteem and confidence issues. Despite the society’s judgement of him, he is very hardworking, extremely respectful and well-mannered and creates a lasting impression on anyone he meets. This drama takes us along his journey of the friends and enemies he meets along his life as he tackles with his inner fight of choosing his true passion of poetry or choosing a realistic job that can provide income for his family.
6. Chupke Chupke
Hum TV’s Chupke Chupke makes the list of the Top 10 Best Pakistani Dramas of 2021 as it is considered one of the best drama serials of the year with Danish Nawaz as Director with Momina Duraid as the producer. The drama was writen by Saima Akram Chaudhry and stars Osman Khalid Butt, Ayeza Khan, Areesha Sultan, Asma Abbas, Usma Baig, Arslan Naseer, Aymen Saleem, Ali Safina, and Mira Sethi.
The story revolves around a grandfather (late) and his two wives played by Asma Abbas and Uzma Baig, who have a savage rivalry and live in a house divided into two halves. They even keep their grandchildren apart because of their strained ties.
7. Laapata
Featuring a far-famed cast of Ayeza Khan, Sarah Khan, Ali Rehman Khan and Gohar Rasheed, Laapata is an incomplete love story and the grief that follows.
The drama both written and directed by Khizer Idrees who’s past cinematography projects Sang-e-Mar-Mar, Aangan and Shehr-e-Zaat speak for themselves, revolves around the tale of a woman, Falak awaiting and suffering for her one true love and how her manipulative cousin Geeti plays a part in creating difficulties for her when the love of her life who also happens to be her cousin Shams goes missing.
8. Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi
The drama serial is produced by Kashf Foundation, directed by Kashif Nisar, and written by Amna Mufti. Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi stars Yumna Zaidi, Wahaj Ali, Fajar Khan, Bonita Malik, Muhammad Sadoon, and Isbah Khan in leading roles.
The story revolves around the lives of three people from their childhood to adulthood, who get trafficked at some stage of their lives. The plot sheds light on some serious issues, including illegal human trafficking, male-centric society, and effects of polio in children.
9. Taana Baana
Taana Baana was directed by Saife Hasan and written by the talented Hassan Imam. The cast of the drama serial included Alizeh Shah and Daniyal Zafar in lead roles. The story focuses on two teenagers, Zoya (Alizeh Shah) and Zain (Daniyal Zafar), who are stuck in a marriage arrangement. Zoya is a young women who is driven and wishes to pursue her Master’s Degree, while on the other hand, Zain is really interested in Zoya.
10. Aulaad
Aulaat is a highly-anticipated drama serial of 2021 with a huge ensemble of cast, including Mohammad Ahmed, Marina Khan, Hassan Niazi, Furqan Qureshi, Nabeel Zuberi, Minsa Malik, Hina Javed, Qudsia, Sunita Marshal, Humaira Bano, and Mah-e-Noor.
The drama serial is written by Syed Ameer Ali Shah and directed by Aabis Raza.
Aulaad is a story of a family where parents have brought up their children with great values, good education, and devotion.
