Netflix’s Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday has become the streaming giant’s most watched show with 341 million hours viewed following its release on November 23.
Wednesday has also surpassed the previous record of 335.01 million hours viewed for the season four of its popular series, Stranger Things. Netflix’s data has showed that over 50 million households have seen Wednesday since its premier and the show currently ranks at #1 in 83 different countries, which ties the record set by Stranger Things 4.
Taking to Twitter, Netflix lauded the series for breaking all previous records. “Wednesday now holds the record for most hours viewed in a week for an English-language series on Netflix, with 341.2 million hours.” said the streamer. “The series — starring Jenna Ortega from EPs Tim Burton, Al Gough & Miles Millar — is #1 in 83 countries, tying the record set by Stranger Things 4” it added.

Wednesday Synopsis
Netflix’s Wednesday is a spin-off of the beloved cartoons titled, The Addams Family and the series centers around Wednesday, a 16-year-old goth girl, who is studying at the Nevermore Academy, who attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, while trying to solve a supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.
The Netflix show stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzman as Gomez Adams, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams.
