Famous Pakistani actor Yasir Hussain has shared his views on the popular Turkish drama Dirilis Ertugrul or also known as Ertugrul Ghazi which is currently airing on PTV Home in an Urdu dubbed version.

The actor expressed that rather than broadcasting foreign shows, the state run Pakistan Television or PTV should focus on making their own historical drama using the talent we have in our country.
Dirilis Ertugrul or Ertugrul Ghazi has been the talk of the town ever since it started airing in Pakistan this Ramazan and its first episode has garnered over 21 million views in less than a month even breaking the previous record by the Pakistani drama Meray Paas Tum Ho.

However, the Baandi actor Yasir Hussain thinks that rather than airing this Turkish drama, Pakistan should focus on making something on its own. He took to Instagram where he said:
PTV should make a historic drama using our own artists and technicians who pay their taxes and hold actual talent.
He even went on to sarcastically say that “landay k kapray” and Turkish dramas will be the end of out industry.
Currently PTV is focusing on breaking a YouTube world record for most subscribers gained in one month using Dirilis Ertugrul and urging fans to subscribe to the channel.

So far it has gained over 6.1 million subscribers and only has to reach 6.6 million before 25 May 2020 in order to break the record which look like it will be able to accomplish.
