According to Dr. Zafar Mirza, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Health Services, the reports of the first Coronavirus patient in Pakistan are fake.
Coronavirus is a deadly respiratory virus named “2019-nCoV” that has infected more than 800 people in China and killed at least 26. Cases of Coronavirus have also been found in Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea and United states with more than 500 cases altogether so far.

Dr. Zafar Iqbal made a tweet saying that earlier reports by media of the first case of Coronavirus that was diagnosed is Multan is not was incorrect saying:
173/ A part of media is INCORRECTLY reporting about diagnosis of a first case of novel corona virus in Pakistan.
He called on the media to show more responsibility while reporting such a serious case. saying:
We expect responsible reporting by media,
Please do not add to the nation’s anxiety about Coronavirus and meticulously check facts before reporting. Thank you!!,
According to earlier reports by media, a case of Coronavirus was diagnosed in Multan. The 40 year old Chinese man was was shifted to Nishtar Hospital in the isolation ward.
The Chinese man had traveled back to Pakistan from Wuhan 10 days ago, according to reports.
Screening was started in Pakistan of all passengers coming into the country from the affected areas around the world.
