All SIMs issued against cancelled or fake CNICs will be blocked by 16 August

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunicaiton Authority (PTA) has issued a warning that All SIM cards issued on canceled or fake ID cards will be blocked by August 16, 2024.

To ensure the activation of your SIM, users can prevent their SIMs from being blocked or get them reactivated by issuing their National Identity Cards (CNICs) through NADRA.

For reactivating blocked SIMs, users must complete the biometric verification process at the sales channels/centers of the respective mobile operators.

To keep your SIM active, make sure your CNIC is valid and issued through NADRA. If your SIM gets blocked, you can reactivate it by completing the biometric verification process at your mobile operator’s sales center.
