Karachi braces for another spell of rain, set to start from August 5, as per Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz. He predicts heavy rainfall for the city from August 5 to 7.
Although the current weather system has mostly moved towards Balochistan’s coastal areas, Karachi continues to feel its impact. “Light rain and drizzle will persist throughout the day,” said Sardar Sarfaraz. He added that Karachi might see more light rain and drizzle over the next two days.
Dark clouds have covered Karachi’s sky since early morning, following a refreshing bout of rain on Tuesday. This rain brought a pleasant change to the city’s weather.
The rain from the previous day left the air cool and fresh, significantly improving the weather for Karachiites. The current temperature stands at 29 degrees Celsius, with high humidity at 92%.
The Met Department forecasts varying intensities of rain throughout the day. Light to heavy showers are expected, particularly from the afternoon to the night hours.

Winds are blowing gently at three knots per hour. Despite the cloudy skies and potential rain, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, ranging between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius throughout the day.
Meanwhile, Lahore is also under a monsoon rain alert.
The Met Office predicts continued monsoon rains in Lahore until August 3 and 4, with humidity at 82%. The PDMA reported an uptick in dengue cases due to the monsoon, with eleven new patients reported in Lahore in the last 24 hours.
