PESHAWAR: Amid rising electricity bills, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced a plan to distribute solar panels to the needy, following similar initiatives in Punjab and Sindh. This move aims to provide a sustainable and cost-effective energy solution to thousands of households in the region.
According to the details, the KP government will distribute free solar panels to 100,000 households. Adviser to the Chief Minister on Finance, Muzammil Aslam, revealed this ambitious plan, emphasizing its potential to alleviate the burden of high electricity costs for many families.
Comprehensive Solar Solutions for 100,000 Households
Each eligible household will receive a comprehensive solar energy setup, including a 2 kW solar panel system, batteries, DC fans, and an inverter. The inclusion of DC fans will help families stay cool during the hot summer months without relying on the conventional power grid.
