Pakistan Railways has announced the new schedule for passenger trains that will come into effect from 15 October 2022 after suspension due to severe flooding across the country that submerged railway tracks.
The Railway Department has changed the timings and routes of passenger trains for the winter season.
According to the details, the Shalimar Express (UP and 28 Down) will no operate from Khanewal to Sahiwal instead of Multan to Faisalabad, whereas Drigh Road and Landhi stopovers have been eliminated.
Furthermore, Pakistan Express (45 UP) will now depart from Karachi to Rawalpindi at 2:30 pm instead of 1:00 pm, while Karakoram Express will depart at the same time from Lahore and Karachi at 3:00 pm.
Moreover, the Railway Department has restored the passenger train’s stopover at Bahawalpur.
Allama Iqbal Express (9 UP) will operate from Sialkot to Karachi at 3:30 pm, while the authorities have ended Rawal Express stopover at Chak Lala.
The Pakistan Business Express will also operate from the Jahanian route instead of Multan.
