PIA announces big discount for students

Pakistani students intending to pursue academic degrees in China can now avail a 20% discount on flights with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

According to an airline official, the national flag carrier has also raised the baggage allowance to 60 kg.

PIA currently operates one weekly flight on Sundays between Islamabad and Beijing.

Students who wish to visit their home country after receiving their degrees or who intend to visit Pakistan over the summer may be eligible for the discount.

A prior increase in the discount rate to 27% was made by PIA for students who wanted to visit China.

During Eid ul Fitr, the national flag carrier also reduced the price of economy and executive economy classes on domestic flights by 20%.
