How to Block Stolen Mobile Phone in Punjab

Report Crime on Time: We’ve been providing information and keeping you informed on how and where you can report stolen mobile phones. We previously included CPLC Karachi, Sindh, and now it’s time for CLPC Lahore, Punjab, to follow the steps for reporting crime, tracking stolen mobile phones, and blocking them.

Every phone or mobile broadband device has a unique 15-digit code called an IMEI number. You might need to find your IMEI number if you want to unlock your device to use with other networks or for some insurance policies. You can find your IMEI in the following ways: by entering *#06# on your phone’s call screen.

Save your mobile IMEI number in a safe place. Not into your mobile. The IMEI number is also written on your mobile packing box and the back of your mobile under or over the battery.

To check or get an image of your mobile, dial *#06# from your mobile.

It will show you a 15-digit IMEI number.

STEP 1

Please send the following information to the PTA, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.
The email ID is Imei@pta.gov.pk.

Incident Date
Incident Time
Incident Place.

Mobile IMEI number
Mobile manufacturer (company name)
Mobile Model
Sim number (that was in mobile)

Your full name and father’s name
Your CNIC number
Your Address
Your email ID for contact
Your contact number (any active mobile number)

They will track and block your lost or stolen mobile.

STEP 3

Submit your lost or stolen mobile report at CPCL Lahore, Mobile Theft Form. In a few days, your form will be indexed in the stolen database.

Currently, the online tracking IMEI system is down; however, you can call CPLC and get the update.

1. If your IMEI number is not found in this database, it means your mobile is not marked as stolen or lost.
2. If it does not appear in the database, follow step 1 again to block your mobile.
