Mobile SIMs linked to Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) that expired before 2017 will be blocked starting September 2, 2024. NADRA has announced that individuals with expired NICs need to renew their cards promptly to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
According to NADRA, individuals with expired CNICs must update their identification details immediately. This measure aims to provide better service to citizens and prevent misuse of identity cards.
To renew your NIC, you can either visit NADRA offices or apply online. Individuals with renewed CNICs will be able to continue using their existing mobile SIMs.
