Stormfiber Promotional Internet Packages in Islamabad

Stormfiber is providing amazing promotional internet packages in Islamabad and for those of you who don’t know, Stormfiber is powered by Cybernet and started its Internet GPON aka Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Service in F-15 Sector Islamabad to compete with NayaTel and PTCL, offering three promotional packages which appear slightly expensive but in regards to service, these works 100% as committed by the company. Stormfiber laid its network in G-15 Jammu & Kashmir Housing Society about a year ago to compete with PTCL and Nayatel but, now the company has also fiberized the F-15 Sector which had only one option of PTCL (VDSL) internet service until this month and Nayatel which started rolling out its internet in the area as well.

Residents of the F-15 Sector Islamabad can now avail he Stormfiber Fiber-Optic Internet + HD TV + Phone offering three promotional packages (Yellow Triple Typhoon, Yellow Triple Twister, and Yellow Triple Billiard). The details are mentioned below.

Stormfiber is currently active and operational in B-17 Multi Garden and laying fiber in D-17 Margallah View as well, where only PTCL has been the only option previously. PTCL also upgrading its network in the area and Nayatel which once ruled Islamabad as ‘the only fiber Internet service provider’ in the capital city faces tough competition from Stormfiber (FTTH).

Back in 2017, I wrote an article on Reliable Internet service providers in Islamabad which was focused on PTCL vs Nayatel at that time as Stormfiber was not available here, however, the Internet Service Provider (ISP) is now rapidly expanding the coverage across the capital city.

According to the Stormfiber team, the company will cover the entire capital of Islamabad from DHA to New Islamabad International Airport (All the housing societies) one by one and they are working on it day and night according to the layout plan.

Stormfiber Promotional Internet Packages In Islamabad

Currently, Stormfiber offers three Yellow Storm Promotional Packages (Internet + TV + Phone + HD Box) and I am personally using Yellow Storm Triple Blizzard 20Mbps Package. However, Yellow Storm Triple Typhoon 10Mbps and Yellow Storm Triple Twister 15Mbps Packages are also available in Promotional Package. The packages offer the same services apart from the internet speed.

I personally wanted to get the 30Mbps package but unfortunately it was not available in the promotion. It bears mentioning that as part of the promotional packages, I did not have to pay a hefty installation charge upfront to the company.

Stormfiber charges Rs 5,240 for two months [which includes Rs 3800 monthly bill] and the company begins normal billing of Rs 3800 from the 3rd month onwards, This includes HD TV Box + Phone but there’s a downside to Stormfiber’s Landline Phone as it is not free to PTCL or any other network. (These charges include taxes).

Why Choose Stormfiber?

PTCL (Flash Fiber) is currently not available in my area and PTCL Smart TV channels are not up to the mark when it comes to variety of channels and quality despite being a digital TV service, whereas, Stormfiber offers almost 200 Channels which also includes, MTV, Channel V, Movies Channel, International News Channels (Full HD, HD and normal 570p channels are available, PTCL Smart TV only adds current affair (News channels) ignoring the entertainment and Music categories entirely.

My priority is stable and reliable internet service and Stormfiber provides 20Mbps Download and Upload Speed which is better compared to PTCL which offers 15Mbps Download but 6Mbps Upload Speed on VDSL service and 1Mbps on ADSL service. As for billing, I was paying Rs. 3690 per month for PTCL 15Mbps Package and Stormfiber is offering 20mbps with 200+ Channels in Rs 3,800. Besides this, I had the option of choosing Nayatel, but the upfront charges made it a costly option.

Stormfiber High Definition ( HD TV Box)

I must say, finally watching 1080p Full HD channels in Islamabad after almost a five year break since I last used their service in Karachi. The quality of the channels, video, and audio is amazing and for a person like me, MTV, MTV 00s and Channel V keep my mood happy as news channels just make you depressed at this point. I hope Stormfiber will add VH1 and other music channels as well in the future. We really need some music and entertainment on a serious note.

VERDICT

I would highly recommend, Stormfiber although their packages are slightly expensive as compared to Nayatel and PTCL but hoping that Stormfiber will upgrade the packages in the same price plan to give tough time to the competitors and grab more attention from protentional customers.
