PTI on wednesday issued a white paper what it called massive rigging in the May 11 general elections, consisting of 2,000 pages.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the PTI chief said that if the Election Commission of Pakistan failed to conduct free, fair and transparent by-elections, then the commission would itself be responsible for the consequences.
Imran Khan said that his party was not prepared for any alleged rigging during the May 11 general elections as the election process was conducted under an independent judiciary and the Election Commission of Pakistan.
He said that 400 petitions were filed in the election tribunals over rigging in the general elections, adding that out of aforementioned petitions 64 were filed by his party.

“We are not the only party which said that rigging took place during the elections.”
Khan termed the role of some Returning Offices (RO) during the general elections as shameful, stating that one RO had admitted to corruption during the polling process.
The PTI Chief further said that his party accepted the results of the general elections and did not want re-polling, but in order to correct the electoral system, he said that the Supreme Court should scrutinize the results of only four constituencies.
“We want democracy to flourish in the country,” Khan said.
