Indian Army’s UAV crashes near LoC in Kashmir

Naushera: An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of the Indian Army crashed near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

Media reports said the UAV, which was on a routine training sortie, crashed near Rajal village of Nowshera area in the state’s Rajouri District on Monday afternoon.

An investigation has been ordered into the crash and will be conducted by a special team of the Indian Army.

“An unmanned aircraft crashed near Rajal village. This area has a lot of villagers, however no casualties have been reported and everyone is safe. A police party is present at the site and the Army’s concerned authority will come here to further investigate,” said Additional Superintendent of Police Ravindra Sharma.


A detailed probe into the incident has been ordered.
