Top Lashkar-e-Taiba Commander Killed in Sopore Encounter

Sopore: A top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander, Mohammed Bhai, was killed this morning in an encounter that broke out on Sunday between security forces and militants in the Sopore area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir. Mohammed Bhai’s body was recovered this morning.

The Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles along with the the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched an operation based on information about the presence of two terrorists in a house in Sopore’s Kranksivan area at 4 pm on Sunday.

The operation is still in progress.
