4 killed in Srinagar Highway accident at G-11 signal in Islamabad

A tragic accident took place at G-11 signal on Srinagar Highway, formerly known as Kashmir Highway, in Islamabad killing four people when a VIP protocol of Waqas Khan, husband of former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Kashmala Tariq, ran a red light.

According to the details, the accident that occurred at Srinagar Highway killed four people and injured two others when a protocol of Waqas Khan, the owner of Best Western and husband of former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Kashmala Tariq, ran a red light at G-11 signal in Islamabad.

Waqas Khan and Kashmala Tariq’s son Azlan Khan were riding in a black Toyota Fortuner with a green number plate as shown in the video uploaded on social media from the scene of the accident at G-11 signal.

According to Islamabad police, the driver and vehicle have been taken into custody and action will be taken in accordance with the law.

“Kashmala Tariq’s husband Waqas Khan has been arrested,” confirmed local media outlet according to which, there were five total vehicles as part of the VIP protocol that ran the red light at G-11 signal in Islamabad causing the tragic accident on Srinagar Highway.

The two injured people in the accident were shifted to the hospital while police are trying to contact the families of the victims in this heart-wrenching incident.
