An arrest warrant has been issued for Ali Amin Gandapur, the nominated Chief Minister candidate for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, by the Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The warrant cites violating the election code of conduct and insulting the AJK Election Commission.
Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan has also been issued an arrest warrant for Ali Amin Gandapur. Ali Amin Gandapur has been directed to appear before the Election Commission of Azad Kashmir on February 28.
This comes after Gandapur’s party supported an independent candidate who defeated Fazl-ur-Rehman in a National Assembly constituency.
Gandapur, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party member, was recently nominated as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the party founder.
