KARACHI: Pakistan’s well known and respected Shia Islamic scholar Allama Talib Johri has passed away in Karachi at the age of 80 after suffering from cardiovascular complications.
The news was confirmed by his son Riaz Johri who told Samaa News that Allama Talib had been hospitalized for a while as he was suffering from cardiovascular complications and had been on the ventilator.
The Islamic scholar was also known as a poet, historian and a philosopher who had written several books. He was awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his work.
The news comes just a day after the passing of another prominent religious scholar Mufti Naeem who passed away in Karachi after suffering from a heart attack.
