Similar incident took place in DI Khan’s Gilani Town was struck by tragedy on Saturday when an explosion rocked a residential house, leaving one person dead and four others, including a woman, injured.
The incident, which occurred due to the explosion of an air conditioner compressor, has sent shockwaves through the local community.
According to Rescue 1122, the blast resulted in the death of a 48-year-old man, identified as Zulfiqar. The injured include Maryum Bibi, aged 45, Amna Bibi, aged 21, Rania, aged 16, and Ayan, aged 12.
All four were guests who had traveled from Dera Ghazi Khan and were staying at the house when the unfortunate incident took place.
The injured were swiftly moved to a nearby hospital by the Rescue 1122 team, where they are currently receiving medical treatment. The severity of their injuries is yet to be fully assessed.
NOTE: The exact cause of the air compressor blasts remains unclear, but AC technicians point out that this issue is frequently observed in Haier ACs.
A thorough investigation by the government is necessary to address this matter. Whichever brand or R32 gas refilling process is responsible for these incidents must be held accountable. The public deserves to know the facts for their own safety.
