In another concerning development, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight attendant has reportedly gone missing in Canada, adding to a series of similar incidents this year.
The latest case involves Junaid Qureshi, who was part of the flight crew that traveled from Lahore to Toronto on Thursday. However, he did not show up for his scheduled return flight to Pakistan on Saturday.
This marks the third occurrence this year of a PIA flight attendant allegedly disappearing while in Canada. The airline’s management has taken swift action by suspending the missing flight attendant.
Additionally, they have initiated communication with Canadian authorities, urging them to take appropriate measures in response to the situation.
This incident follows a similar pattern from the previous month when, after a PIA flight from Islamabad landed in Toronto, two other flight attendants, Khalid Afridi and Fida Shah, also reportedly went missing in Canada.
The unsettling trend of flight attendants, both male and female, from the national airline disappearing abroad raises serious concerns about the safety and well-being of airline personnel on international routes.
