Anti-Encroachment Drive in Full Swings : DC Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Encroachment Drive was seen in full swings in Islamabad today.

A total of 615 Kanals of land on River Korang in Revenue Estates of Mohra Noor, Kot Hathial, Bani Gala, Shahpoor and Dohala.

District Administration on the orders of Supreme Court has cleared 200 kanals by today. Rest 400 kanals is to be cleared in the next 5 days.

The Honorable Apex Court heard the case for almost 10 months. Three commissions were made to inquire and check the status and legality of encroachments.

Survey of Pakistan was finally tasked after receiving reports from Ombudsman and Additional Attorney General to scientifically collect data of satellite images and demarcate the area.

Here is the glimpse of the river and encroachments. Environmental Protection Agency has reported that structures on 200 feet on either side of the river are causing massive environmental hazard and pollution.

Anti-Encroachment Drive in Forest Area on River Korang

A massive operation against encroachments was carried out today on Forest Area on River Korang. 62 Kanals of land was recovered from encroachers. The operation will continue for another week. Target is to clear all River Area from encroachments on the orders of Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan. ADCR Mr. Kamran Cheema and AC Secretariat Mr. Faisal Saleem led the operation

Anti-Encroachment Drive in Sector E-11 Graveyard Area

AC Saddar Lt Saad cleared the graveyard area in Sector E-11 from illegal occupation today. Encroachers were trying to build a commercial market in the garb of a shrine on the area reserved for a graveyard.
