President Arif Alvi visited Quetta to review the coronavirus situation in the province and expressed his satisfaction over how the provincial government was handling the situation extending support to the poor people during the lockdown.
President Arif Alvi also said that the federal and provincial governments need to work together in a coordinated way to slow the spread of coronavirus and get a handle on the situation.
President Arif Alvi has urged people to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the government and take neccessary precautions in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus in Pakistan.

He addressed the media in Quetta where he expressed hope that the virus would be defeated soon saying that the testing capacity in the country was also being increased.
President Arif Alvi said in his media briefing:
Keep you distance from each other. This will lead to two things: herd immunity will develop and we will be able to tackle with this [virus] with time,
Dr Alvi has aslo been visiting Mosques to review the conditions and how they are implementing the precautionary measures in the 20 point agreement of Ulema and the government.
A recent view by an NGO of several mosques in Punjab and Islamabad however disclosed that over 80 percent were violating those agreements but there has been no news on any action being taken regarding that.
Although the agreement clearly stated that the decision can be reviewed again and changed if violations are found. However, many mosques have been found violating these precautionary measures but not much has been done.
