With rising temperatures, the Education Department of the Balochistan Government has declared summer vacations to protect students from the intense heat.
As per a notification issued by the Education Department in Quetta on Wednesday, the summer vacations will start on May 15 and conclude on July 31 in heat-prone areas.
In colder regions, there will be a 10-day break starting on July 22 and ending on July 31.
Punjab has also unveiled its summer vacation plan for schools and colleges. The Education Department has proposed a break from June 7th, 2024, to August 19th, 2024. However, an official notice is yet to be issued by the education department.
Meanwhile, Sindh is contemplating an earlier closure due to the severe heat. A final decision will likely come after the completion of exams for classes 9 and 10. The possibility of early holidays for students up to Class 8 is also being considered.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is anticipated to announce its summer vacation schedules by the last week of May.
