The permission to resume Balochistan public transport services is being given on the condition that transporters will need to strictly adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that will be decided in a meeting between transporters, commissioners and the Regional Transport Authority of the province.
However, the decision is being made even though businesses have failed to comply to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that were decided earlier when lockdown was eased in the province and a smart lockdown was implemented by the government.
Currently over 2,500 cases have emerged in the province and the provincial death toll has reached 36 people. The daily cases being reported keep rising as testing capacity is increased.
