QUETTA: The on-going Balochistan smart lockdown has been extended by the Provincial Government for another 15 days till 15 July 2020 due to the mounting coronavirus cases in the province and across Pakistan.
According to the notification issued by the Balochistan Home and Tribal Affairs Department, there shall be a complete ban of all sorts of public gathering of more than 10 people. This includes religious gathers in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Wearing of face mask has also been made mandatory in public. Furthermore, more than two persons are not allowed to travel in a car except in certain circumstances where the person is sick, being carried or requires such an attendent.

Educational institutions will also remain closed till 15 July and this includes all schools, colleges, universities, coaching centers, madaris.
However, there are certain exceptions when it comes to essentials like grocery stores, fruits and vegetable shops, take away and delivery of restaurants.
