QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has decided to extend the province wide ‘smart lockdown’ for another 15 days till 2 June 2020 to control the spread of the coronavirus.
The decision has been taken in view of the increasing coronavirus cases in the country and for the safety of people. the Home and Tribal Affairs Department of the Government of Balochistan has issued a notification stating that the smart lockdown in place has been extended.
The notification shared below has been issued with instructions specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) for businesses and general public to follow and curb the spread of the virus.
Earlier the Government of Balochistan also changed its decision regarding resuming of public transport services in the province over fear of spreading coronavirus to the remote parts of the province that were not affected by the pandemic.

Following the recent decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed, the notification regarding the extension of Balochistan smart lockdown now states that shopping malls and markets are allowed to open from 3am till 5pm throughout the remainder of Ramazan after which timings will be changed and businesses will operate from 8am till 6pm.
