ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Digital Pakistan initiative, Tania Aidrus said the ‘banning Youtube in Pakistan is not a solution’.
Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) on Wednesday took notice of objectionable content on social media and hinted at shutting down video streaming giant YouTube in Pakistan.

“Banning a platform like YouTube is not a solution. The 3 years when YouTube was banned in Pakistan it held back our content creator ecosystem which has just started to flourish now, creating employment opportunities for thousands,” Tania Aidrus
