RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Security Forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan District after receiving reports about the presence of Khwarij militants.
During the operation, security personnel stealthily surrounded the terrorist hideout and engaged them in an intense gunfight. As a result, all ten Khwarij were neutralized.

According to the ISPR, the militants were involved in multiple acts of terrorism, including attacks on law enforcement agencies and targeted killings of innocent civilians. A significant cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the scene.
However, during the fierce exchange of fire, Captain Hasnain Akhtar (24), a resident of Jhelum, embraced martyrdom. Leading from the front with unmatched bravery, Captain Hasnain fought valiantly and made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. Known for his courage and bold actions in previous operations, he was a highly respected officer among his comrades.
Following the operation, a sanitization process is underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area. The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating terrorism, stating that such sacrifices by Pakistan’s brave officers only strengthen the resolve to ensure lasting peace in the country.
